Our Story
Established in February 2005, by Principal founder, Jim Schulze,CSA, CLTC, MDRT,
Registered Representative. Jim decided to take his extensive knowledge
and sixteen years of experience in the insurance and financial services
industry to create a state of the art, client centered firm, with the
products and services needed to meet all of his clients' needs.
Jim, along with his six year associate, property and casualty
specialist Mary Schneider, have spent the last year building a vision
for the future.
In September 2005, Jessica Schulze, another property and casualty
specialist, joined the Prairieland Group to assist Mary in the sales
and service of Auto, Homeowners, Renters, and Personal Liability
(Umbrella) Insurance policies.
In January 2006, Steve Henson, BA, CLTC, MDRT, Registered
Representative brought his six years of experience in the insurance and
financial services industry to Prairieland and joined Jim as a full
partner. Jim and Steve intend to use their vast knowledge and
experience in the areas of financial planning, retirement planning,
estate planning, senior advising, protection planning, and business
planning to serve the needs of individuals, families, and small businesses in
their community and throughout the country.
In September 2006, two more associates, Bill Russell, Business
Insurance Specialist, and Dave Eschbaugh, BS, Life and Health
Specialist joined Prairieland as independent producers. Bill
intends to focus on serving the needs of small business owners in
Central Illinois. He will offer a wide variety of commercial
insurance products including, but not limited to Commercial General
Liability, Commercial Property, Crime Coverage, Business Owners
Policies, Liquor Liability, Farm Policies, Garage Liability, and Inland
Marine Coverage. Dave is the first associate to join Prairieland
outside of the Champaign-Urbana area. Dave will be located in the
Greater Chicago area. Dave intends to focus on providing group
and individual life and health insurance products to individuals,
families, and businesses.
In December 2006, Gary Hein, Long Term Care Specialist, joined
Prairieland as an independent producer. Gary spent a year with
Genworth Financial selling and servicing Long Term Care Insurance
policies. Gary has his professional designation, CLTC, Certified
in Long Term Care. Gary plans to help families protect their
assets by providing Long Term Care solutions individually tailored to
each specific individual or family. Gary is also a farmer in the
Gifford area.
In February 2007, Terry
J. Beland, CLTC, Financial Advisor joined Prairieland as an independent
producer. Terry has 11 1/2 years experience in the financial services
industry as an Agent with Prudential FInancial. Terry has an office in Paxton,
IL. Terry is also a life long resident of Paxton, IL. Terry intends
to use his extensive experience and knowledge to help individuals, families,
and small businesses with all of their financial needs.
